ZogSports was founded by Robert Herzog after his close call on September 11, 2001, and has since grown to become the nation's largest charity-focused, co-ed, social sports league for young professionals. Since 2002, we've brought together hundreds of thousands of people and have donated over $2,700,000 to teams' charities in eight markets across the country (NYC, NJ, DC, ATL, PHL, DEN, SF, LA).
Now, we're coming to Dallas and looking for a fun, caring and reliable sports enthusiast to launch and operate all aspects of ZogSports’ operations in the Dallas market. This position will be semi-autonomous with tremendous support coming from our NYC-based team. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for owning all aspects of successfully running a ZogSports market. This includes all planning, hiring, budgeting and running of sports leagues (including some evenings and weekends).
While you will be located in Dallas (but begin with several weeks of training in New York City), you will benefit from existing ZogSports infrastructure (including custom-built league management software, a comprehensive interactive operations manual and a supportive team with 20+ years of experience). As a General Manager, you will be an integrated part our national team and will have daily support from ZogSports Headquarters, as well as from the other six General Managers. You will play an instrumental role in helping ZogSports grow as a brand.

The ZogSportsDAL General Manager should be:
1) Passionate about sports (and having played in recreational sports leagues is a plus!)

Responsibilities and Duties
+ Planning and management, including staffing, communications,logistics and customer service for any and all ZogSports leagues, tournaments, trips, classes, clinics, social events and volunteer opportunities.
+ Field/gym procurement and ongoing facility relationship management.
+ Hiring, training and managing all Field Team (referees, field managers) and full-time staff.
+ Customer, vendor and partner communications.
+ Development, customization and dissemination of marketing materials.
+ Relationship management for all marketing partners including: clubs, companies and other organizations.
+ Public relations events/projects.
+ Marketing research and identification/conversion of new members and business opportunities/partners.
+ Development and maintenance of social media strategy.
+ League management software (website, content management system and back end admin) management.
+ Profitability analysis
+ All other activities necessary to help build and grow the business.
+ BA or BS degree
+ Tremendous leadership, drive and enthusiasm
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ 3-8 years of related business experience
+ Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
+ Excellent organization and attention to detail
+ Ability to work independently as well as within a team
+ Self-starter, resourceful, great problem solver
+ Fun on paper and in person
+ Great sense of humor!
+ Familiarity with Dallas
+ Strong knowledge of PC/network environment including Microsoft Office, the Internet, facsimile machines.
+ Online marketing experience (e.g., Facebook, email campaigns, SEO, SEM)
+ Web development/technology experience
+ Knowledge of organized sports, business of sports, and sports marketing
+ Not afraid of balls
Compensation: In addition to health insurance paid for by ZogSports, awesome vacation policy and all expenses-paid staff events throughout the year, you will receive a modest base salary with a generous, uncapped profit share that is designed to reward you for your success in growing the company.
