Responsibilities and Duties

The ZogSports Corporate Business General Manager is a full-time position located in NYC and reporting to our Founder and CEO. 


Ideal Experience/Qualities:

  • Deep understanding of the needs of Chief People Officers and senior HR executives regarding corporate culture, employee engagement, learning and development, onboarding and fun. 
  • Sales: comfort and experience selling to HR and C-suite execs at progressive companies. 
  • Business development: experience developing partnerships with outside vendors in the corporate culture space.
  • Proven track record of being a thought leader in the corporate culture space. 
  • Experience building a brand. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and experience. 
  • Events experience and an understanding of what “wow” means for a corporate event. 
  • Ability to build and coach a team including sales management (prospecting, pipeline management and closing opportunities). 
  • A fun, people person with a passion to improve the at-work community for companies and their employees. 
  • 10+ years of business experience, preferably in the HR/Corporate Culture space, including managing people and growing a business or product. 

Desired Outcomes:
  • • Build a full service corporate culture solutions provider, which includes a product portfolio of in-house and white label partnered services. o Define scope of products/services in our Corporate Culture solutions portfolio. 
    • Build internal capabilities to deliver additional services. 
    • Develop partnerships with the goal of augmenting our product portfolio and generate new business. 
     
  • Create thought leadership, brand expertise and SEO-related content to promote the brand.
    • Write/Outsource articles and blog posts to demonstrate our industry leadership. 
    • Speak at events and conferences with the intent of generating leads and establishing brand dominance. 
     
  • Grow business to $10MM+ in multiple cities with diversified revenue streams, including a subscription model.

The Corporate League Growth Manager is a full-time job reporting to our experienced VP/General Manager of NYC, joining the greater ZogSports NYC Team. You will learn on the job by running leagues and activities in NYC and managing the company’s growth in Corporate focused sports leagues, both within Manhattan and into the outer boroughs and potentially north of New York City. You will be well-supported, much appreciated and an integrated team member from day one.

Responsibilities and Duties

Corporate League Growth Manager primary requirements:
Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning – Understanding of current and potential corporate customers; designing activities to meet demand
  • Building Relationships – Getting to know corporate customers (especially decision makers – HR, company culture leaders, etc.); forming relationships with facilities (schools, parks, public, private, etc.); Networking and prospecting to find new potential teams/players; Sales conversations
  • Customer Service – Problem solving
  • Marketing – Assistance with and creation and execution of marketing tactics
  • Staff Management – Hiring, Training and Management of part time staff
  • League Management – Team and schedule creation, Standings management and updates
  • Basic Website Maintenance – Content Management Systems: including writing and posting relevant notices
  • Equipment Management – Ordering, maintaining and transporting athletic equipment 

Important
  • In addition to flexible office hours, will be required to work evenings on average 2 days/week at fields/gyms/bars
  • Passion for sports (experience and enjoyment playing at any level, including intramurals)
  • Interest in working in, and contributing to, a fun/active office environment (includes frequent ball throwing, music playing and other shenanigans)

Social Content Creator - Part Time - New York

Description

Responsibilities and Duties

Here’s what you’ll do:
You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Marketing Manager, but will be a resource for all ZogSports staffers.

Responsibilities and duties will likely include:

  • Strategically planning how to grow our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts
  • Executing and managing our brand ambassador program
  • Conducting fun, creative, satirical post-game interviews with players
  • Capturing the emotion of the ZogSports experience through photos/videos
  • Shared through social media channels
  • Edited to bring out humor, fun, and creativity
  • Will include games and post-game happy hours
  • Creating a social media calendar
  • Contest ideas and Engagement pieces
  • Posts correlating to pop culture and sports trends and events
  • Curating and creating relevant content for the ZogBlog
  • Market research to collect information about customer acquisition and retention

Here’s what you should be:

  • College Junior or Senior (21+) in the NYC area willing to commit 3 days/week, for at least 3 hours/day (will consist of one weeknight after 6pm, one weekend, and one in-office weekday).
  • Knowledge of, and interest in, social media. We want to help you grow in your career ambitions. You’ll be managing our social media channels, followed by thousands.
  • Knowledge of, interest in, and access to Photoshop (or other editing software). Can you make an image of softball pitch look like Taylor Swift throwing shade at Kanye?
  • Working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Know the difference between their/they’re/there. Don’t abuse apostrophe’s.

Spring 2017 Operations Internship - New York

Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assistance with general inquiries of incoming participants in-person, over the phone, and via e-mail.
  • Handling occasional management, fulfilment, and delivery of equipment and team shirt orders
  • Updating ZogSports social media photo galleries with images of team champions and other pertinent information
  • Updating website when weather issues arise
  • Assist in creation and research of competitive analysis 
  • Assist operations of End of Season Party and ZogSports Happy Hours
  • Attend Marketing events to promote ZogSports brand throughout NYC (often just two or three weekends or nights throughout a semester)

The Spring Internship will run from January 9th – April 14th with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities and Duties

ZogSports, a charity-focused, social sports league for young professionals in NYC, is looking for referees for our Co-ed Floor Hockey League. Review our website at www.zogsports.com  for more information on our company.

 

Floor Hockey referees will work weeknights on Wednesday and/or Thursday from 7pm to 10pm at Dwight School Athletic Center (2116 1st avenue, New York, NY 10029) and on weekends at the Roosevelt Island Sports Park. Successful candidates will assist the company in helping our games run smoothly and safely while reminding our members of the charity and social aspects of our leagues. Responsibilities and duties include:

·         Attend referee training session

·         Learn ZogSports rules and enforce them 

·         Set-up court 

·         Manage all on-court logistics including: timely start and completion of games

·         Referee Games (call penalties, communicate with players)

·         Resolve on-court disputes

·         Work with the on and off site ZogSports Staff to improve the quality of our leagues

 

REQUIRED:

·         Ideal candidates should be young professionals living in the NYC metro area who have a tremendous interest in Hockey

·         Have experience playing and/or refereeing hockey

·         Understanding of specific sport and Zog rules

·         Excellent communication and problem solving skills

·         Ability to handle conflict and be assertive in a fast pace game

·         Capable of being diplomatic in all situations that arise and communicate the rules or call

·         Be able to represent ZogSports and our charitable and social focus

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Kickball REFEREE you will assist the ZogSports Team in helping our 100,000+ participants have the “highlight of their week,” by making sure game operations run smoothly, are as fun as possible, and always incorporate both our social feel and charity aspects.

 

We're looking for funteamplayers who are reliable and organizedcare about their work, and strive for continuousimprovement.

 

Are you:

§  Available to consistently work Sundays between 3:00pm-5:00 pm from April - June?

§  Beable to get to WashingtonPark (4th Ave & 3rd St) by 2:50pm on Sundays.

§ Passionate about sports, and especially knowledgeable about baseball/softball and its basic rules?

§  Strong in communication and problem solving skills?

§  Fun, outgoing, and social?

 

Do you want to:

§  Be an AMBASSADOR for ZogSports, promoting a fun and social experience at every game?

§  Manage all ON-SITE LOGISTICS including; arriving 10-15 minutes before games start, field set-up, potentially helping bring equipment, treating rented facilities with respect and sending in game reports?

§  Resolve on-site disputes calmly?

§  Learn the ZogSports’ Rules and way of handling situations?

§  Help improve the quality of all ZogSports activities?
