Junior Sports Operations Manager -- Full Time

This is a great job because the Junior Sports Operations Manager is a full-time gig reporting to our League & Operations Manager. You will be learning on the job by helping run league operations throughout the Bay Area to help support the company’s rapid growth. You will be well-supported, much appreciated and an integrated team member from day one.

Junior Sports Operations Manager primary requirements:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Referee Management – Schedule referees for the majority of weekly games in addition to managing all aspects of referee staff, including hiring, training, and development
  •   League Management – Support leagues by creating teams, schedules, and managing weekly standings updates
  •   Customer Service – Manage customer service responses pertaining to on-site operations
  •   Website Maintenance – Support website content management, including updating seasonal league pages and posting relevant notices
  •   Equipment Management – Ordering, maintaining, and coordination of athletic equipment


IMPORTANT:

  • Ability to work nights and weekends (most hours will fall into the general M-F work week, but additional nights and weekends will be required)
  •   Knowledge of the SF Bay Area (experience working/living in area)
  •   Interest in working in, and contributing to, a fun/active work environment

REQUIRED:

  • BA or BS degree; 0-2 years of office experience
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and work independently as well as within a team
  •  Comfortable with technology, mainly Microsoft Excel and Outlook

  • Knowledge of organized sports, business of sports, and sports marketing

Description

ZogSports is looking for Referees for our Co-ed Sports

Responsibilities and Duties

ZogSports referees will be the head and only referees in charge of games. Shifts will last 1 to 4 hours (one game per hour). Successful candidates will assist the company in helping our games run smoothly, while reminding our players of the social and charity aspect of our leagues. 

Roles and responsibilities include: 
• Referee Games
• Manage all on-field/gym logistics including: timely start and completion of games and team/referee transitions
• Setup field/gym
• Resolve on-field disputes 
• Work with the on- and off-site ZogSports Staff to improve the quality of our leagues
• Learn ZogSports Rules 
• Attend referee training session

REQUIRED: 
• Ideal candidates should be young professionals living in the San Francisco area who have a tremendous interest in the sports we play.
• Applicants must be willing to commit to at least the entire season
• Understanding of specific sport and rules
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle conflict and be diplomatic in all situations that arise
• Be able to represent ZogSports and our charitable and social focus
• Be fun, social and personable

PREFERRED: 
• Experience in refereeing and knowledge of sports
• Experience on an athletic team.
